The U.S. Army has announced that industry stakeholders should become a member of the Consortium for Command, Control, Communications and Computer Technologies in order to participate in the proposed Cyber Innovation Challenge.
The announcement posted Nov. 10 on FedBizOpps is an update to an Oct. 27 notice about the planned contest, which seeks new software-based prototypes that will work to help the service branch visualize cyber threats on its computer network infrastructure.
The service branch’s contest aims to develop a continuous monitoring and risk-based scoring tool designed to assess open-source data, network topology, friendly asset and threat-activity information for use at both tactical and operational echelons.
Mitre hosted an industry day Wednesday at its conference center in Virginia for the Army to discuss the cyber challenge with interested stakeholders from academia, government and industry.
