Wayne Lucernoni, president of the mission sustainment services business at Harris Corp., has said the unit accounts for approximately 15 percent of company’s revenue from government contracts, the Washington Business Journal reported Monday.
James Bach writes the company looks to small business partnerships in pursuit of “lowest priced, technically acceptable” professional services contracts in the federal government.
Harris agreed to partner with Government Tactical Solutions under a mentor-protege program run by the Small Business Administration.
Bach believes the Harris-GovTact alliance would allow Harris to manage its labor costs and submit competitive offers and outsource some contract work without sacrificing profitability.
