Aruna Jayanthi, CEO of Capgemini India, will serve as head of global business process outsourcing at the information technology consulting firm effective Jan. 1, the Times of India reported Saturday.
Jayanthi’s promotion comes after Capgemini completed the acquisition of IT services company Igate for $4 billion, Shilpa Phadnis writes.
Jayanthi was named CEO of Capgemini’s Indian arm in 2011 and serves as a member of the executive panel that crafts strategic plans for the firm.
Paul Hermelin, Capgemini Group chairman and CEO, also named Srinivas Kandula, former human resources chief at Igate, as Jayanthi’s successor and Ashwin Yardi, head of Apps One for Capgemini, as chief operating officer of the company’s Indian operations.
Hermelin announced the changes at the firm’s group leadership meeting in Rome held early this month, Phadnis reports.
Capgemini said it will cover management changes in its third-quarter report that it plans to release on Thursday.
