cyberCybersecurity firm SignalSense has obtained $4.5 million in a seed funding round from several investors, including Trilogy Equity Partners, Tola Capital and Ignition Partners.

The company said Thursday it will use the money to further develop a network security intelligence technology and fund the company’s efforts to expand in the East Coast and recruit technical professionals.

“Our goal is to multiply the mind of a security professional by using compute capacity that’s driven by artificial intelligence systems,” said SignalSense CEO Lynn Kasel.

“Rather than focusing on individual data streams that are extremely expensive to analyze, we are extending what you can look at, and what you can care about.”

The company seeks to help enterprises analyze network endpoints and manage the impacts of insider threats and targeted cyber attacks through its platform.

The technology is designed to have analytics, signals intelligence and deep learning tools.
