Accenture will develop a data analytics platform for the Seattle police department’s work to apply data-driven decisions in support of operations and investigations.
The company said Thursday the technology will include reporting and analytical functions and facilitate oversight into administrative and policing activities through the use of system alerts.
“The insights and intelligence gained from the use of analytics will not only enhance the SPD’s operations but also ensure proper management of personnel,” said Jody Weis, director of Accenture’s public safety business in North America.
The company’s digital team will manage the SPD program and work with partners Information Builders and Accel BI.
The program also covers software and system development services and the deployment of an IT architecture to consolidate SPD’s data sources, Accenture added.
