Science Applications International Corp. has partnered with Adacel to provide training services at 23 U.S. Federal Aviation Administration-run air traffic control centers under a potential five-year, $727 million contract SAIC holds with the FAA.
Adacel said Wednesday it will act as a subcontractor to SAIC in the FAA Controller Training program.
The companies will help educate air traffic controllers through classroom, laboratory and simulated instructions at the FAA Academy and ATC facilities in seven U.S. states.
Work under the firm-fixed-price, time and materials contract also includes training program management, student progress monitoring and administrative and innovation support services.
