Rockwell Collins has given the U.S. Army a platform the company built to help helicopter pilots access and view drone-derived videos on their cockpits.
The Secure Real Time Video system will work to support the service branch’s manned-unmanned teaming activities, Rockwell Collins said Monday.
“Giving Army pilots access to real-time video streams in their cockpits will directly improve their ability to successfully execute missions more safely and efficiently,†said Troy Brunk, vice president and general manager of airborne solutions at Rockwell Collins.
The SRTV platform is built on an open systems architecture that allows the system to be deployed on a variety of helicopters operated by the service branches.
