Raytheon has upgraded the company’s integrated electro/optic system offering with new features such as dual-band thermal imager and a high-definition color camera.
The third-generation Commander’s Primary Sight also incorporates laser range finder, laser designator, visible and infrared laser pointers and line-of-sight director, Raytheon said Tuesday.
Duane Gooden, vice president of Raytheon’s land warfare systems product line, said the system uses Bradley vehicle components and interfaces.
“Raytheon’s CPS provides the Army’s Bradley vehicle commander a 360-degree, panoramic viewing capability to detect, recognize and identify targets at extended ranges in all conditions,” added Gooden.
Raytheon’s missile systems business completed the development of the Commander’s Primary Sight as the U.S. Army prepares its FLIR lethality engineering change proposal for the Bradley vehicle.
