Raytheon  has received an $18.6 million contract from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to implement monitoring systems along the Jordan-Syria border.
The company will install sensors, cameras and barrier fences in the area for DTRA’s Jordan border security project, Raytheon said Thursday.
The project aims to help Jordanian armed forces deter, detect and interdict threats.
Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon intelligence, information and services, said the company will continue to “leverage local partnerships and regional knowledge†in order to deliver border security services to the client.
Raytheon has completed the second and third phases of the border security project.
