Northrop Grumman has completed a proof-of-concept test for the company’s tactical incident management system in collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department.
Northrop demonstrated the system for eight days during the Special Olympics World Games, Northrop said Thursday.
“The pilot program was started to work closely with the LAPD to better understand their mission and tailor our solution to help them save time, automate and electronically track their resources and to provide the useful efficiencies needed to do their job better,” said Ed Sturms, a vice president and general manager at Northrop’s civil division.
The system is designed to help clients plan and handle scheduled and emergency events with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s incident command system protocols.
