Microsoft has teamed up with Taser International to develop and deploy a cloud platform that will work to help law enforcement officials collect and manage digital evidence.
Microsoft said Monday it will integrate its Azure cloud computing platform and Windows 10 devices with Taser’s Axon suite of body cameras and Evidence.com offering that works to capture, share and retrieve videos, sensor-derived data and other information.
Curt Kolcun, vice president of the U.S. public sector at Microsoft, said Microsoft and Taser will work to comply with security and privacy standards as they combine their offerings under the partnership.
The companies will offer the Microsoft Azure platform with integrated Axon data to public sector clients in the first quarter of 2016 and allow them to migrate data to the Azure Government platform free of charge.
Microsoft and Taser announced their partnership at the four-day International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference in Chicago.
