Lockheed Martin has unveiled a new version of its simulation software offering for military, commercial and private users to create virtual flight scenarios.
Prepar3D v3 is designed with a drag-and-drop SimDirector tool, an avatar mode and Autodesk‘s Scaleform technology for aircraft instrument panel training, Lockheed said Wednesday.
The company built the platform to also help military personnel or students train virtually for underwater or suborbital space operations.
The software also employs avatars designed to increase the realism of first-person or third-person simulated missions, Lockheed noted.
