Intellicheck Mobilisa will provide additional units of Defense ID devices and workstations to the U.S. Army at Fort Sill in support of the service’s expanded deployment of the identification authentication system.
The company said Tuesday it will supply more Defense ID handhelds and establish a visitor/vendor registration and credentialing center to help Fort Sill’s security personnel verify the identity of people who enter the base.
Intellicheck Mobilisa CEO William Roof noted that Defense ID features a mobile functionality and programmable rules and is interoperable with various sources of data.
Defense ID utilizes rules-based access decision support and works to bolster situational awareness and security at military installations and other restricted facilities.
Fort Sill is located in Oklahoma and houses a military population of more than 16,000 and approximately 7,000 civilian personnel.
