Harris Corp. will supply Falcon tactical radios to customers in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa as part of orders valued at $66 million for the first quarter of the company’s 2016 fiscal year.
The company said Monday the orders are for various configurations of the multiband Falcon radios as well as for associated support services.
Chris Young, president of Harris’ communication systems business, added that the radios work to bolster situational awareness in the battlefield.
The technology will also support the high-bandwidth transmission of voice, data and video, Harris said.
