acquisitionFireEye Inc. and F5 Networks have partnered to jointly provide security products and services to enterprise clients.

The partnership will combine F5’s application delivery infrastructure and FireEye’s threat protection offering, FireEye said Monday.

“Our partnership with F5 addresses critical business issues for our customers, matching [information technology] growth and security to support the business,” said Steve Pataky, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at FireEye.

Both companies will centralize their approach to sales, deployment and customer support as part of the agreement.

“We’ve consistently seen a complementary delivery cycle with F5, and now we can provide seamless joint customer engagement, as well as the support and reach necessary to protect more organizations around the world,” Pataky added.
