Giovanna “Gio” Patterson

Giovanna “Gio” Patterson serves as vice president of the civil commercial group at Booz Allen Hamilton.

She oversees strategy development, business capture, performance management and career development operations for the management consulting company’s civilian and health accounts.

Patterson spent nearly five years at IBM’s global business services segment as partner and VP for the federal healthcare industry and three years at Vangent as senior VP for corporate development.

She also worked at SRA International for 12 years and served as VP of business development for the global health sector, as well as VP of civilian and federal healthcare strategic business units at the information technology consulting firm.

At SRA, she oversaw the integration of 1,600 employees across 40 countries after SRA acquired healthcare service provider Constella Group for nearly $185 million in 2007.

She spent more than a decade at TRW’s systems integration group and was program manager of that company’s intelligence division prior to her appointment at SRA in 1996.

Patterson holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in computer science from the George Washington University.
