Dirk van der Vaart serves as president of GardaWorld Government Services — the U.S. subsidiary of global security contractor GardaWorld.
In this capacity, he oversees business development, customer engagement, corporate plan execution and marketing operations at the company.
The two-decade intelligence and security market veteran previously served as vice president of business development at GLOBAL Integrated Security and SOS International.
Van der Vaart has held senior business development roles at Raytheon and radar-based imaging systems manufacturer Camero.
He has also worked at American Systems as VP of national security strategic business area and ManTech International as VP of homeland security division.
He spent more than a decade as a special operations officer in the intelligence community.
The Messiah College alumnus has a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism and master’s degree in international business from the George Washington University.
