Deloitte Consulting has been awarded a $9.4 million contract to provide professional support services for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s climate change initiative in Vietnam.
USAID said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Monday the Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program seeks to promote the deployment of low-emission energy platforms in the country through strategy development within the energy sector and implementation of renewable energy projects.
Through V-LEEP, Deloitte will collaborate with the Vietnamese government to help implement policies that aim to achieve energy efficiency, assess emission mitigation approaches and craft strategies for clean energy adoption.
According to the notice, V-LEEP also aims to address development challenges such as commercial sector investment and involvement of women in renewable energy development.
