Apache-e1440766243499The U.S. Army is seeking a contractor to help configure and make the AH-64E Guardian attack helicopter platform conduct missions with an unmanned aerial platform as a team.

In a FedBizOpps sources sought notice published Tuesday, the Army said it also aims to embed a radar frequency interferometer and an interoperability function into the AH-64E for the manned-unmanned teaming modification initiative.

The military service wants a vendor who can provide technical, systems project management and logistical services.

Boeing manufactures Apache helicopters and owns associated technical data packages.

Science and Engineering Services awarded an $11.9 million contract to L-3 Communications last month to provide an MUMT-X technology for the Army’s Apache communications system modernization effort.
