Roger Krone: Leidos, DC United to Collaborate for Armed Forces Week Events

Leidos has teamed up with Major League Soccer club D.C. United to host a series of events for the second annual Armed Forces Week to acknowledge the service of active military, veterans and their families to the U.S..

Events will kick off Monday through Sept. 19 at several areas in the National Capital Region, Leidos said Tuesday.

“We’re proud to partner with D.C. United to host inclusive and fun events for members of the military, veterans, and their families,” said Roger Krone, chairman and CEO of Leidos and an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015.

“We are committed to supporting our men and women in uniform, and owe them our gratitude for everything they do to keep our nation safe.”

Events will include a soccer clinic for uniformed personnel’s children, a lunch to be hosted by Leidos employees and soccer team players at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the Armed Forces Night and a visit to a military retirement home in Washington.
