Riptide Software has won a potential five-year, $47 million contract to update and support a military arms training platform designed for U.S. Navy commanders and combat units.
The Defense Department said Wednesday the company will help build the Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade System for naval personnel to train in live, virtual and constructive mission scenarios.
Two proposals were submitted to the Navy for the CACCTUS program via the FedBizOpps website.
Riptide Software will design the training system to integrate with C4I systems and allow the military branch to execute arms management and fire support coordination exercises.
The Navy also wants battle unit leaders and members to practice tactical methods and decision-making before they engage in physical missions through the platform.
Riptide Software will perform work in Oviedo, Florida, through September 2020.
