Raytheon and Naval Sea Systems Command executives visited LCR Embedded Systems’ Norristown, Pennsylvania-based headquarters on Aug. 11 to check on LCR’s engineering, electronics design and manufacturing operations.
LCR said Monday it collaborated with Raytheon to develop the hardware component of the AN/SPY-1 radar for the Navy’s Aegis Combat System installed on surface ships.
Nissen Isakov, president of LCR Embedded Systems, said the company is pleased to have worked with Raytheon and other subcontractors in the defense sector to deliver platforms and services intended for military personnel.
Among the attendees who spoke during the tour of the company’s facility are David Joseph, director of Aegis programs at Raytheon; Kevin J. Kenney from the NAVSEA program executive office for integrated warfare systems; and Dennis M. Davin, secretary for the Pennsylvania Department Community and Economic Development.
Representatives from the Workforce and Economic Development Network of Pennsylvania and from the offices of Sens. Patrick Toomey (R-Pa.) and Robert Casey (D-Pa.) were also present at the event.
