A new ongoing study by the Professional Services Council will focus on the emerging roles and responsibilities of chief technology officers at federal agencies, particularly in agency efforts to drive innovation.
PSC said Monday its innovation committee co-chairs Robin Lineberger of Deloitte and Casey Coleman of Unisys will lead the study.
“The results of this study will further our collective understanding on this emerging position and provide actionable recommendations on how this role could better facilitate innovative technology adoption in the federal government,” said David Wennergren, senior vice president of technology at PSC.
“We look forward to engaging government and industry in this effort.”
The study will feature interviews with federal and commercial CTOs and research on the position’s job responsibilities, PSC said.
PSCÂ will release a report on the results of the study early next year.
