Pivot3 and Tracewell Systems have combined their respective offerings to develop a hyper-converged service intended to help fulfill the computing requirements of defense customers.
Tracewell intends for the partnership to help clients virtualize applications and maximize storage using Pivot3’s HCI software, Pivot3 said Tuesday.
“The high storage efficiency of Pivot3 HCI, combined with low compute overhead allows for maximum resources to be available to run advanced algorithms and perform complex operations on large databases,” said Ron Nash, Pivot3 CEO.
The companies will provide a joint offering with Pivot3’s Scalar Erasure Coding technology to prevent hardware failure.
Customers will have access to Pivot3’s Global hyper-convergence to perform big data analytics, virtualization and high performance computing workloads.
