Michael Howell, deputy program manager of the government-established Information Sharing Environment, will assume directorship of the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council’s Institute of Innovation, FCW reported Friday.
Bianca Spinosa writes that Howell will also retire from government service as he takes his new role with ACT-IAC on Sept. 21.
Ken Allen, the nonprofit organization’s executive director, told FCW that Howell will also co-chair the cybersecurity committee and continue his membership in ACT’s executive committee.
Prior to his work with ISE and its program manager Kshemendra Paul, Howell served as chief information officer at the Interior Department and deputy administrator for IT at the Office of Management and Budget, the report said.
