ManTech International, Hortonworks and B23 have partnered to promote an open-source analytics technology designed to help enterprise customers detect and manage sophisticated cybersecurity threats.
The OpenSOC platform is built to analyze more than a million network packets per second, recognize threats in real time and deliver computer network security alerts, Hortonworks said Tuesday
Hortonworks and Cisco built the technology, which is available on Github under an Apache software license.
OpenSOC is also designed to operate with Hortonworks’ Data Platform and DataFlow information management products and seeks to help organizations incorporate big data into their cybersecurity frameworks.
B23 works with clients to analyze big enterprise data while ManTech offers a Hadoop OpenSOC platform for customers to secure cloud computing systems.
