Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a $26 million contract to oversee the engineering and construction of New Jersey Turnpike’s roadwide guide sign.
The company has already begun to replace roadway sign panels, install new sign structures, relocate existing cantilever sign structures, build the foundations for new and relocated structures and install roadway safety features, Jacobs said Tuesday.
Jacobs will complete the tasks in the fall of 2017 as part of New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s 10-year capital investment program.
“We are delighted to continue in our role assisting the authority in achieving its capital investment goals along the NJ Turnpike,†said Randy Pierce, Jacobs group vice president.
