technology, cyber, cloud, computerThe U.S. Census Bureau has given Esri an authorization to provide its managed cloud service offering to federal agencies.

Esri said Tuesday the designation is also certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and designed to help government agencies use ArcGIS, Esri’s geographic information system, in cloud environments.

According to the company, this is the first instance under FedRAMP that a manged cloud services offering transitioned from CSP Supplied Package to Agency FedRAMP Authorization.

Esri also collaborated with the bureau to set up and host the Census Business Builder online tool through its cloud service offering.

Vienna, Va.-based Veris Group acted as the third-party assessment organization for Esri.
