Maximus has launched a new suite of DecisionPoint tools for state government agencies to manage healthcare services for senior citizens as well as people with disabilities and eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
The DecisionPoint for Long-Term Services & Supports offering uses a patient-centered model designed to help states coordinate care of LTC recipients at facilities or home, Maximus said Tuesday.
“In its final report to Congress in 2013, the Commission on Long-Term Care projected that by 2050, 20 percent of the total population will be at least 65 years old, up from 12 percent in 2000,†said Maximus President Bruce Caswell.
Caswell added the company aims to help customers “implement new models that manage this growth and find cost savings, while delivering better health outcomes through improved care coordination.â€
Maximus will showcase the platform at the ongoing National Home and Community Based Services Conference in Washington.
