research-and-development-RDEngineering Research and Consulting has won a five-year, $82 million contract to carry out research and development efforts for the U.S. Air Force’s Propulsion Sciences III program.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract was awarded through a competitive procurement process and covers support for the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Defense Department said Monday.

The Alabama-based contractor will perform work at Edwards Air Force Base in California until Jan. 31, 2020.

The Air Force Test Center is obligating $2,848,816 from the service branch’s fiscal 2015 research, test, development and engineering funds at the time of award.
