Ray O. Johnson, a former Lockheed Martin chief technology officer and senior vice president, has joined the international advisory board of New York-based nuclear reactor system developer Terrestrial Energy.
The 30-year defense industry veteran said Wednesday that he aims to help bring Terrestrial Energy’s molten salt reactor technology to the marketplace.
Johnson supervised more than 72,000 Lockheed employees who provide support for national security programs during his nine-year service as CTO and SVP of corporate engineering, technology and operations at the company.
Before Lockheed, he held senior executive positions at Modern Technology Solutions and Science Applications International Corp.
He also served as a U.S. Air Force officer for 12 years and holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
