Brennan Hogan, program manager at LMI Research Institute, has said at a panel discussion hosted by the Brookings Institution that an incremental approach is one method for the U.S. Defense Department to innovate.
LMI said Wednesday that during the forum, Hogan also provided her insight into how the defense sector should leverage three-dimensional printing technology.
“There is the potential for revolutionary change but, in order for it to be most effective, it should be a thoughtful and considered evolution and it should take into consideration, from a philosophical or strategic level, all of the potential implications from across how you support the warfighter and how you support the mission,” she told audience.
Michael O’Hanlon, a Brookings Institution senior fellow, moderated the panel.
The other panelists were BAE Systems‘ David Logan, James Joyce of Deloitte Consulting and Pratt & Whitney‘s James Kenyon.
LMI offers consulting services in the defense, intelligence, energy, healthcare, homeland security, environment and civil government sectors.
