Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a contract by Australia’s Melbourne Airport to provide engineering support services for an airside project.
Jacobs said Tuesday the contract covers master grading, civil infrastructure, drainage design and earthworks services for the Taxiway Zulu and Terminal 2 Aprons Project.
The project calls for the development of a new apron infrastructure, taxi lane and taxiway in an effort to accommodate future aircraft configuration changes and expansion of the airport’s Terminal 2 pier.
Melbourne Airport previously carried out the project into two separate programs during the feasibility design stage but decided to consolidate it into a single contract for the detailed design and feasibility phases.
