TeleCommunication Systems has been selected to deploy its cloud-based telemedicine platform for the Iowa Clinic’s project meant to remotely serve patients from multiple devices.
The Iowa Clinic integrates TCS’ VirtuMedix platform into the Iowa eClinic service to help healthcare providers reach patients through a virtual platform, TCS said Tuesday.
“The Iowa Clinic joins the increasing number of medical practices which are realizing the value that telemedicine offers to both their business and their patients,†said Jay Whitehurst, TCS commercial software group president.
“We are honored to be The Iowa Clinic’s choice for this telehealth service, and we believe that VirtuMedix will be a catalyst to improving their patients’ healthcare overall,†added Whitehurst.
VirtuMedix platform is designed to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
