The U.S. Department of Homeland Security could award a classified five-year contract for the development, operations and maintenance of federal cybersecurity tools by the end of August or early next month, Federal Times reported Thursday.
Aaron Boyd writes DHS will seek contractors to help manage DHS’ National Cybersecurity Protection System as well as update the intrusion detection, analytics and data sharing platform Einstein.
The contract will also cover support of DHS’Â efforts to monitor dot.gov domains, the report said.
DHS expects to implement its Einstein III Accelerated program across the federal government through 2016, the publication reports.
