Douglas Holtz-Eakin is the president of the American Action Forum, a Washington-based nonprofit organization that works on policy research and a “sister” organization to the American Action Network.
He also served as commissioner of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission from 2009 to 2011, director of the Congressional Budget Office from 2003 to 2005 and chief economist of the Council of Economic Advisers from 2001 to 2002.
He previously worked as president of DHE Consulting and held policy leadership roles at the Peter G. Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomic Studies and the Council on Foreign Relations.
Holtz-Eakin, whose policy expertise covers applied economics, econometrics and entrepreneurship, is currently a member of the Research Advisory Board of the Center for Economic Development.
