Vion will offer Hitachi Data Systems‘ visualization products for data analytics to customers in the public sector, law enforcement and emergency management markets as both companies seek to grow their 35-year partnership.
The companies plan to expand their combined services into social innovation and big data analytics in addition to joint storage offerings for U.S. federal government and public sector clients, Vion said Thursday.
“By working together, ViON and HDS are once again engineering and delivering technological capabilities that go beyond the mainstream to offer advanced insight and value to our customers, particularly in the public sector,†said Tom Frana, CEO and president of Vion.
Hitachi’s visualization services are designed to help users gain situational awareness through the extraction of data from video cameras, sensors, emergency dispatch and social media.
The system works to transmit data to operator workstations and field personnel.
