TeleCommunication Systems will continue its Ku satellite bandwidth, terrestrial and 24-hour support for the Tactical Satellite Communications Network of the U.S. Marine Corps under a $14.2 million task order option in a previously awarded contract.
TCS said Tuesday the task order is part of the Future Commercial SatCom Acquisition program of the General Services Administration and Defense Information Systems Agency.
Michael Bristol, president of TCS’ government solutions group, noted that the award brings the company’s work in providing satellite communications support to the Marines into its third year.
TCS said its satellite services support works to expand coverage of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network.
The company is a prime contractor on the $2.6 billion Custom SatCom Solutions vehicle.
