SAP has introduced a new version of a set of tools intended to help companies manage, share and access data from mobile devices and remote locations.
The company said Wednesday SAP SQL Anywhere version 17 is designed to allow information collected from remote workplaces and satellite offices to be synchronized with the SAP HANA database tool, on-premise platforms and cloud-based environments.
Ken Tsai, vice president of platform technology at SAP’s platform solutions group, said the latest release also works to assist clients to perform offline processing and analysis of data derived from Internet of Things-based devices.
SAP SQL Anywhere version 17 supports JavaScript and other programming languages and has online rebuild and recovery tools.
