SAP has introduced a fresh public service offering in an effort to expand its program meant to help urban governments address citizen needs.
Branded as SAP Future Cities, the service is developed to assist city officials worldwide in engaging with the public, collecting tax and revenue, and delivering other services through shared management practices, SAP said Wednesday.
“With the world’s population continuing to urbanize, cities are now at the heart of SAP’s mission to make the world run better and critical for our public sector business,” said Isabella Groegor-Cechowicz, general manager of SAP Public Services.
SAP intends for the new offering to help customers manage congestion, public safety and climate change effects.
“Customers at all levels of government are seeking our help with strategies to address urban opportunities and challenges,” Groegor-Cechowicz added.
