GB-GRAM-GPSRockwell Collins and GPS Source have test-fitted a global positioning system receiver card in a Defense Advanced GPS Receiver Distributed Device.

The military-code ground-based GPS receiver application module is designed to track and navigate with the C/A, Y and M-code, Rockwell Collins said June 22.

“This demonstration paves the way for the D3 to incorporate the next-generation GPS capability that our GB-GRAM-M provides,” said Mike Jones, vice president and general manager of communication and navigation products at Rockwell Collins.

The GPS receiver is also built to be compatible with old versions of the IS-GPS-153 serial port interface.

Rockwell Collins developed the receiver as part of the MUE card development contracts with the U.S. Air Force.
