Parsons has won a task order to provide engineering support services for the Missile Defense Agency as it works to develop a defense system against ballistic missiles.
The company said Tuesday it will perform work in Dahlgren, Virginia; Huntsville, Alabama; and the National Capital Region through Aug. 29, 2016.
“Parsons is pleased to be selected by the MDA to support this critical stage in the development of a national ballistic missile defense capability,†said Mary Ann Hopkins, Parsons group president and inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015.
The company will act as the primary contractor and lead a group of 32 subcontractors and at least 250 engineers under the task order.
Parsons is also part of a Leidos-led international consortium that supports NATO in the development of a defense platform against ballistic missile threats.
