Jacobs Engineering Group will provide infrastructure design services for Construction Package 2-3 of Dragados-Flatiron Joint Venture‘s $1.2 billion design-build contract for the California High-Speed Rail.
Jacobs said Tuesday CP 2-3 covers 65 miles of construction and infrastructure improvement work on the future high-speed rail system stretching from San Diego to San Francisco in California.
The company added that its design contract includes 10 million yards of embankment, 32 roadway grade separations and 23 high-speed rail structures.
CP 2-3 work is only for part of the initial construction segment, which covers a total of 120 miles of railway that will be used as a test track before operations, Jacobs said.
