CAE has been selected to produce additional visual systems for the Eurofighter training program under a contract with Eurofighter Simulation Systems.
CAE will provide new Medallion-6000 image generators, display systems and database development tools for the Eurofighter Typhoon Aircrew Synthetic Training Aids program, CAE said Monday.
ESS designed the Eurofighter training systems for the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy and Austria.
Ian Bell, CAE’s vice president and general manager of Europe/Middle East/Africa, said the company would extend its relationship with ESS and offer new visual systems to the existing Eurofighter partner nations and export customers.
Munich, Germany-based ESS is a joint venture of Rheinmetall Defense Electronics, CAE GmbH, SELEX, INDRA Sistemas and Thales.
