Hewlett-Packard will develop an e-health information technology platform for the health and family welfare department of Kerala in India as part of efforts to improve patient care at the region’s healthcare facilities, InfotechLead reported Monday.
Shilpa Khatri writes that the platform will work to deliver digital healthcare services using mobile applications, analytics, data mining and reporting tools and the Hospital Management Information System.
“This new e-health IT platform will enable transparent and efficient monitoring of all public health programs, medical inventory, electronic medical records and Hospital Management Information Systems,” said Marshal Correia, vice president and general manager of enterprise services at HP India.
The company will help the government of Kerala design a digital healthcare delivery road map, digitize the healthcare delivery process and centralize the service monitoring and management at more than 1,000 facilities in the region, the report said.
HP worked with JK Technosoft to deploy the integrated HMIS, Khatri reports.
