FireEye has released updates to its email threat prevention platform and threat intelligence service in an effort to help customers combat cyber attacks.
The updated offerings are designed to block spear phishing campaigns and provide context on email-based attacks to clients, FireEye said Tuesday.
“The vast majority of the breaches we see started with a spear phishing email,” said Manish Gupta, senior vice president of products at FireEye.
Gupta added that the combined email analysis and threat intelligence platform is intended to help security teams schedule incident response action and decrease the time to detect an attack.
The email threat prevention platform features a defense system that works to detect URL threats and quarantine an email that contains that specificc URL.
