Cubic Corp.‘s global defense business unit will develop a virtual aviation training system that uses game-based instruction and interactive tools for the cabin crew of Emirates Airlines.
Cubic said Monday training will be delivered via 3-D classroom stations and Web or mobile platforms to help the airline crew gain skills and knowledge on real-life challenges.
Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense, noted that the combination of new instructional designs and video game technology works to provide immersive on-the-job learning for trainees.
Emirates Airlines will be the first commercial airline to use game-based instruction for training, Cubic said.
