Arlen Shenkman, formerly global head of corporate development at SAP, has been promoted to chief financial officer of SAP North America.
During his three years as SAP’s global corporate development chief, Shenkman led the company’s strategic investment efforts and helped the software company acquire Concur, Fieldglass, BusinessObjects, hybris, SuccessFactors, Ariba and Sybase, SAP said Thursday.
“He’s been a key architect of our growth strategy over the last several years and his leadership skills, experience at SAP and deep knowledge of our customers and partners make him uniquely qualified to help lead our region into the future,†said Jen Morgan, president of SAP North America.
The co-founder and former CEO of online career portal JobMarket.com handled risk management, corporate audit and financial reporting functions at IKON as senior corporate counsel.
Shenkman holds a master’s degree in business administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with a juris doctor degree.
