A Kaman subsidiary has received a $23 million order to provide an undisclosed number of programmable aerial bomb fuzes to the U.S. Air Force.
Kaman said Thursday it has produced Joint Programmable Fuze systems for the military branch since 2002.
The JPF is designed to integrate with Joint Direct Attack Munition and Paveway guidance kits for F-15, F-16, F-22, A-10, B-1, B-2, B-52, MQ-9, Mirage 3 and Gripen aircraft platforms.
Kaman’s aerospace group manufactures the fuze technology at the company’s facilities in Middletown, Connecticut, and in Orlando.
