Vion, Quasar Data Center to Offer Texas Agencies Cloud Services; Tom Frana Comments

Vion and Quasar Data Center have formed an alliance to jointly offer cloud services to state and local government, education and other public clients in Texas.

Vion will deliver Quasar Data Center-hosted cloud infrastructure-as-a-service products for different types of applications through the partnership, Vion said Wednesday.

Tom Frana, president and CEO of Vion, said the companies would bring skill sets to “Texas-based organizations in need of cloud infrastructure.”

The companies will perform work in Quasar’s Houston-based data center.

Quasar’s architecture is built to distribute virtual machines across many physical hosts, Vion says.
